Limited Edition, Mariannenpresse : Artists' book ' chinamesser' 2005
The artists' book 'Chinamesser', which was published by Mariannenpresse Berlin in 2005 was a collaborative effort by writer Eckhard Momber and Tinka Bechert. This limited edition book (Ed. 100) featured one of Mombers' short stories and original lithographs by Bechert. As both artists share an interest in combining historical aspects with contemporary approaches, the story and images weave a thread through past and present. A romantic yearning for the 'good old days' is sharply contrasted with a subtle hint at german history and idealism gone wrong.
